PainTopia Web Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 15, 2026. This policy is for the PainTopia Web website, not the Android app.
1. Overview
PainTopia Web is a browser-based pixel-art guide and tracing helper. It lets you upload an image, convert it into a pixel board, follow tone-by-tone guide steps, use rulers, open overlay guide options, save guides locally, and contact support by email.
The website does not require an account and does not operate a cloud sync service for your artwork.
2. Images You Choose
Images you upload or drag into the website are processed locally in your browser using browser APIs such as FileReader and canvas.
The website is designed so uploaded images are not sent to a PainTopia server for conversion. Pixel previews, tone guides, rulers, and thumbnails are generated in the browser.
3. Local Storage
PainTopia Web stores some information in your browser localStorage so the app can remember your choices and restore work on the same device and browser.
This may include saved guide data, source image data for saved guides, generated thumbnails, guide metadata, theme preference, onboarding completion, and privacy notice acknowledgement.
Clearing your browser site data for this website removes these local records.
4. Website Features
Upload and drag-and-drop image features read the image file you choose and process it locally.
Image filters, precision changes, crop modes, grid drawing, guide steps, rulers, zoom, and board movement run in the browser.
The browser Picture-in-Picture overlay uses Chrome's Document Picture-in-Picture feature when available. The coming installable overlay app option is only a placeholder unless released separately.
The Phone Method button opens the PaintTopia app listing on Google Play. Google Play is operated by Google and has its own terms and privacy practices.
The Report button opens your email app with a prefilled template. If you send that email, the message is handled by your email provider and by the support inbox.
5. Third Parties and Hosting
PainTopia Web may include Google AdSense verification metadata for site review, and may load Google advertising code if ads are approved and enabled later. Google may use cookies, device identifiers, or similar technologies according to Google's advertising and privacy practices when ad features are active.
The website does not intentionally add separate analytics tracking code in the current implementation.
The website may be hosted by a platform such as Cloudflare, Netlify, GitHub Pages, or another web host. Hosting providers may process standard technical request data, such as IP address, browser information, requested URL, timestamps, and security logs, to deliver and protect the website.
6. Data Sharing
PainTopia Web does not sell your uploaded images or saved guide data.
Your saved guides remain in your browser storage unless you clear them, use browser tools to export/copy them, send information through the report email, or use a third-party link such as Google Play.
7. Heartopia Disclaimer
PainTopia Web is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to the Heartopia game or its owners.
Any Heartopia-related references are used only to describe compatible painting, palette, or tracing workflows.
8. Children's Privacy
PainTopia Web is not designed specifically for children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has sent personal information through a support email or another channel, contact us so we can review the concern.
9. Your Choices
You can choose not to upload an image.
You can clear saved guides and browser site data to remove local records.
